CAN YOU TELL A BOOK BY ITS COVER
Good Morning Readers:
Whether you read a lot or a little, it doesn’t
matter. I’m glad that you have come to visit my website today.
You don’t have to have read a lot of books,
like novels, or poetry books. Just come on in and let’s see what you may
be interested in today.
When you visit a bookstore, it’s fun to browse
through the books, looking for a book that may appeal to you, that catches your
eye. The cover of the book, is all important. If it appeals to you, you
will, no doubt, pick the book up and have a look at the cover, and more
importantly, open the book and start to read it. It might surprise you.
You may like the way a book is written, and you may
like the author’s style, or you might like the story line. You will know
fairly quickly, if the story is something that you would like to read.
Perhaps it’s a war story, or a story on the high seas, or a book about
gardening, or castles. You ask yourself, does this
appeal to me, would I enjoy this book? Haven’t made a decision……..
Then, move on to the poetry section. There is
quite a lot there to look at. Perhaps you have read some modern poetry
and want to browse. Perhaps you are looking for the poetry
book, The Mists of Time, which your friends have been telling
you about. Let’s hope it is in stock. The
poetry is easy to read and quite interesting. The poems are like stories, and
their images paint a picture, so you want to read to the end of each
poem. You will think about the poems long after you have read them.
You have found my poetry book! I hope the
cover appeals to you. It was so, important to me, to make sure that I was
happy about producing that all important cover page for my book. Austin
Macauley Publishers, helped me do that. I think, together, we have
produced a really nice cover page. I like it, but more importantly, do
you? So, please have a look at my book, The Mists of Time,
recently published by Austin Macauley Publishers, April 30, 2021.
It’s nice to have a bookcase at home. You can
add to it little by little, by buying books, whether they are novels, or
scholastic books, or non-fiction books, or poetry books. Then,
occasionally, on a wintery evening beside the fireplace, you might like to, as
they say, ‘curl up with a book’.
