Good Morning Readers;
At this festive season, I
was looking back, and found my thoughts wondering to a special place near
Tuscon, Arizona.
A vision in the distance, of
a white church rising up in the Sonoran Desert. It’s an old Spanish Mission, called San Xavier del Bac. It was also given the name, ‘ White Dove of
the Desert’. Ted DeGrazia, the Tuscon
artist, painted the ‘White Dove of the
Desert’, which I have attached.
It was built 1783-1797. Wikipedia has more historical information of
interest, also click on the pictures to see the full glory of this church in
the desert.

During the mission's
construction, the American Revolutionary War had just ended and George
Washington was elected president, the artist Louise Elisabeth Vigee Le Brun
completed ‘Portrait of Marie Antoinette,’ Mozart had died while finishing his
Requiem, and Jane Austen had completed ‘Pride and Prejudice.’
Thank you one and all for
visiting my website this year. Perhaps
you may have bought my poetry books, ‘The Mists of Time’, and/or ‘Waking Up To Beauty’, which were published by Austin Macauley Publishers, April 30,
2021, and April 29, 2022, respectively. The website below will be useful to you if you need further information
about my books. My poetry books are also
available in the ePub format. They will
be uploaded, directly onto your devices, should you buy them. The books and the
ePub version could make a nice gift to a loved one.

Poetry
is becoming more and more popular now. This is exactly why I continue to promote it on my website. I hope to encourage everyone to find the time
to stop and smell the roses. Make some
time for yourselves, and read some poetry. I hope you will read some of mine.
I
hope this festive season will bring you closer to your families and
friends. We also need to think about the
Ukrainian people who will be suffering through the coming winter months, under
very difficult circumstances. This is a
time for giving to people, whose needs are greater than our own.
We are all hoping for P E A
C E in this world, and so this is the
season to give to others and to help where we can.
Best wishes to you all,
Anne
