Peace on Earth, Goodwill Towards Men

Dear Readers,

It’s hard to celebrate Christmas this year, when there is so much wrong with the world.

How can we celebrate the Christmas season, when we see and hear the sounds of war all around us, through the TV news, in so many countries? We see the ravages of war, the families affected by war.  No cause for celebration, not even a Christmas star. 

What happened, these past few years?  There are too many weapons in the hands of those seeking revenge.  World powers are not working the way they should.  World powers should strive to keep the peace.  Leaders must work together in quiet dialogue, and make peace happen.  Peace is so elusive.  

“Peace on Earth and Goodwill Towards Men”.  This is the Christmas message we all want to hear.

Let us spread this message throughout the world and make the world a better place.   We also need to think about the victims of climate change, where whole populations have been devastated by hurricanes in America.  

With each of us doing what we can, in any way, to help one another; this is what Christmas is all about.

I hope we can all make a contribution to “Peace on Earth and Goodwill Towards Men”. This would be the best Christmas gift of all.
