Good Morning Readers: I hope you have been keeping well.
I want to talk about the
phrase, “The End”. This can mean so
many things. The end of what?
At the movies, “THE END”,
would appear at the end of a movie.
These two words, “The End”, are final;
they signify a conclusion.
These two words are telling
us that it is the end of something. The
end of a beautiful friendship, or, much
sadder, the end of a loved one’s life.
To suffer the pain of losing
a spouse is very traumatic. Family and friends try to help console the widow or
widower: this isn’t always easy.
Suffering the grief of losing one’s partner, is enormous, and nothing
can really help console the partner who is left behind; asking themselves
“Where do I go now?”
The feelings that linked
them to their loved one, have been broken.
This, very sadly, is “The End”, of a loving, caring relationship, with
all its memories. Memories are all that are left behind. These memories are vivid, sad, and traumatic.
They say that Time is the
great healer. What Time does, is that
day by day, the memories of a loved one and the memories of the trauma that
goes with the passing of a loved one, gradually move a little bit further back
in the mind. The fog lifts a
little. The trauma becomes less vivid,
the feelings become less raw. This is
natural and part of the healing process.
If you are a person who
likes to write stories, or poetry, sometimes, the loss of a loved one will move
you to write, or be creative in other ways.
A poem that is full of your memories,
fun, and activities you shared with your spouse, can bring you joy. This is a good thing, because it means that
you are now ready to share your story and memories of your partner, and put pen
to paper, to create a poem or two from those special memories, that you alone,
experienced during your life together.
So, Time does heal the
sadness of losing one’s partner and with the help of friends and family, you
move on and create a new world for yourself.
I would love you to read
both of my poetry books. I’m sure you
will enjoy them.
Best wishes,
Anne
