Dear Readers:
I’ve been thinking about the fact that you are busy
people. I have been wondering how you have found time to look at my
website. You must be interested in reading poetry, or you wouldn’t be on
this website.
On the other hand, I suppose you could be just
browsing, to see what the site is all about. My detective mind tells me,
that you like reading, and that you like reading poetry. This is interesting……
What kind of poetry did you have in mind?
Poetry is not always about happiness and
love. Some Poets have written some dark poetry, especially,
if their own countries have been oppressive and where there is no freedom
to speak freely about their feelings.
On a lighter note…..
I hope that your visit to my website will enlighten
you and uplift you, and perhaps you may want to buy my poetry book or e-Book
(ePub format) called The Mists of Time, published by Austin
Macauley Publishers, April 30, 2021.
I would like to know what you think about my
poetry. Please write a Book Review. Does it transport you to another
world? Does it tell you stories about the mysteries of love? Does
it take you on a magic carpet ride? My poems are varied. They are
about many subjects; sports, war, school days, and the souls of poets, and of
course, nature. I think there are poems for everyone in my book; I
hope so. Poetry is an integral part of our daily lives, and I think reading
poetry can help reduce the stress in our lives.
I know that you are busy, with other very important
work and duties in your lives; but I am happy to see that you have
stopped off, to looked at my website and find the time to be interested and
inquisitive about poetry. Even in your busy lives, I think it is
important to stop and smell the roses.
Find a quiet spot to read. To quote the title
of Thomas Hardy’s book, ‘Far From the Madding Crowd’.
You need to get away and switch off from your stressful work lives. Yes,
and read his book too!
I hope you will buy my poetry book, The
Mists of Time, and sit quietly and read it, little by little. Poetry
is meant to be absorbed, not rushed.
I hope you will enjoy your summer.
Anne Hay
